Djingr Expands Cross-Border Trade with the United States
For companies that trade internationally, the hard part is rarely finding a buyer or a supplier. It is getting the money to arrive. Traditional wires pass through several banks, each taking its share, and a payment can sit in transit for days while goods wait at a port or payroll waits for a date. In many African markets, importers face a further problem: central bank dollar queues can hold up a payment for weeks before the hard currency is even available.
Djingr was built to remove that friction. We never take custody of your funds. You keep control of your capital, and we provide the platform that connects your business to the rails it needs.
US dollars now sit alongside the currencies already live on the network: the Kenyan shilling (KES), South African rand (ZAR), Nigerian naira (NGN), Brazilian real (BRL), euro (EUR), British pound (GBP) and USDT (ERC20). One platform serves your business across all of these markets, and every payment to or from the United States completes within 6 hours.
Two payments, one platform
A US manufacturer buys finished goods from a supplier in Johannesburg. Rather than waiting on a wire to clear, the buyer pays in US dollars on Djingr, and the supplier receives South African rand in a local bank account within 6 hours. The supplier can release the order without waiting days for funds to clear.
A business in Europe needs to pay an American supplier for components. It pays in euros, and the supplier receives US dollars in its American bank account within 6 hours. The shipment leaves on schedule, and nobody on either side has to chase a missing payment.
Why USD takes up to 6 hours
USD transfers on Djingr complete within 6 hours. The limiting factor is ACH, the network most American bank accounts are paid through. Whether dollars are being collected from a US bank account or paid out to one, ACH does not settle payments one at a time: it gathers them into batches and settles them at fixed windows during the banking day, and even Same Day ACH runs on just three settlement windows. It also stops completely at weekends and on federal holidays.
The other rails we support work differently. Faster Payments in the UK and SEPA in Europe settle each payment individually as it is sent, and mobile money in Kenya credits a wallet in moments. Any payment to or from the United States, whichever currency is on the other side, waits on ACH's next window. That still means 6 hours at most, rather than the days a correspondent wire can take.
Built for import and export
Import and export businesses are where this matters most. Dollar access, settlement delays and hidden bank charges all land on the same thin margins, and every day a payment sits in transit is a day a shipment can stall. With US dollars moving in both directions, importers and exporters can pay and get paid in the currency their trade contracts already use. Your team keeps working in its local currency, and your supplier receives hard currency.
Whether your business is moving dollars out of the United States, into Europe or into Africa, the platform is ready for your next payment. Visit djingr.com to get started, or book a short strategy call with our team.
