Why does international payroll arrive late?

Paying someone in another country turns a fixed date into an approximate one. Payroll runs on the same day it always does, then the money spends several days in a correspondent chain before it reaches the person waiting for it. Fees are deducted along the way, so the amount that arrives is not always the amount that was sent.

For a distributed team that is a recurring source of friction, and it falls hardest on the people least able to absorb it - contractors in markets where the receiving leg is slowest and most expensive.

Djingr settles over the Bitcoin Lightning Network, but that is the rail underneath rather than something either side handles. You fund the run in your own currency - euros, pounds, rand, shillings or naira - and each person is paid out in theirs, in about a minute. Bitcoin and USDT are available at both ends for anyone who wants them, but neither is required.

Who this is for

Three payroll shapes

The common thread is people paid in a currency other than the one the business banks in.

Distributed teams

Salaried staff in several countries paid on the same day, in their own currency, rather than whenever the transfer clears.

Contractors and freelancers

Frequent smaller payments where multi-day settlement and stacked fees hurt most.

Employers of record

Businesses paying on behalf of client companies across multiple markets from a single platform.

How do you pay a whole team in one payment?

A pay run is rarely one payment. It is a list - each person on their own amount, in their own currency, in their own country - and handled one at a time it becomes a queue of separate transfers to build, check and chase every month.

Payment groups collapse that into a single action. Set the group up once, with each recipient and the share that goes to them, and from then on one payment is made and divided across the group automatically. You fund it in your own currency and each person is paid out in theirs, in about a minute, on the same day.

The group is standing configuration, not something rebuilt each cycle. Someone joins, someone leaves, an amount changes - you edit the group, and the next run goes out as one payment again. Fund it in Bitcoin or USDT instead if that suits you better; the group behaves the same way.

FAQ

Common questions

How quickly do people actually get paid?
Most corridors settle in around one minute, with EUR and GBP corridors settling within five minutes.
Do our staff need to understand Bitcoin?
Not by default. People are paid in their local currency, with Bitcoin as the settlement rail underneath and nothing for the recipient to hold or see — though staff who would rather be paid in Bitcoin or USDT can be.
Which currencies can we pay into?
ZAR, NGN, KES, GBP, EUR and USDT, with settlement live across South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, the United Kingdom and Europe.
Do we need a funded account in each country we hire in?
No. There is no pre-funded float in any market, so hiring in a new country does not require capital parked there first.
Can payroll be triggered from our own systems?
Yes. The platform can be used through a browser, or the same infrastructure can be driven programmatically through the API.
